DIRECTOR
SWARALI
“I dance therefore I am “
Meet Swarali, a dancer extraordinaire with an unyielding passion for movement. Her journey began in Mumbai, India, where she trained extensively in various dance styles, including Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Indian Folk, Bollywood, Jazz, Contemporary, and Street Jazz.
As a young performer, Swarali quickly gained recognition on national and international television for her exceptional talent, and she soon became a regular face on TV.
Despite her success, Swarali felt that there was something missing in her dance career. Seeking a deeper understanding of the connection between movement and psychology, she moved to New York in 2014 and earned a master's degree in Dance Movement Therapy. Armed with this knowledge, Swarali embarked on a new path, one that bridged the gap between commercial performance and the therapeutic understanding of movement.
Her prowess eventually led her to become the only female finalist on Asia's biggest dance reality show - Dance India Dance 4, where she captured the hearts of millions across the country.

With a growing reputation as a gifted performer, Swarali had the opportunity to work with some of the biggest names in Bollywood, including Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai, and Madhuri Dixit, to name just a few. She continued to make her mark in the industry as an assistant choreographer for several Bollywood movies under Ahmed Khan's tutelage.
Swarali's reputation as a choreographer continued to grow, and she lent her talents to several critically acclaimed Broadway/Off-Broadway musicals, including Monsoon Wedding, Hypokrit NYC's Romeo Juliet, Devdas, and Mystic India - World Tour. She wowed audiences with her opening solo performance on the Stephen Colbert show, among other high-profile events. In addition to her choreographies, her corporate dance fitness sessions have received glowing feedback from companies like PayPal, LinkedIn, and Deloitte.
Through her company, BollyHeals, Swarali motivates and empowers people worldwide, encouraging them to find their own path and providing guidance through dance and personal growth. Her unique blend of movement therapy and dance instruction makes her classes accessible to everyone, and her infectious energy and positivity inspire people to strive for their full potential.

Swarali continues to be an influential figure in the dance industry. Her story is one of determination, perseverance, and passion, and she serves as a source of inspiration for anyone seeking to follow their dreams.
“MOVEMENT IS THE MOST ORGANIC FORM OF COMMUNICATION.
IT CONNECTS YOU INTIMATELY WITH YOUR BODY AND THE
COMMUNITY AROUND YOU. WHETHER I AM PERFORMING,
TEACHING, OR IN DANCE THERAPY, I FIND COMFORT IN THAT
SPACE BECAUSE IT INVOLVES MOVEMENT. IT GIVES
ME CONFIDENCE, AND CATHARSIS, AND BRINGS
ME CLOSER TO MY COMMUNITY. I INVITE
YOU TO SHARE THIS EXPERIENCE WITH
ME”

MONA KHAN SAMPATH (USA)

“Swara has brought a beautifully unique perspective and incredible (and infectious!) energy to the Mona Khan Company through multiple collaborations since 2015. As an educator, she is uplifting and empathetic. Our students and company dancers feel truly seen and empowered in her classes. She brings her intentional and thoroughly prepared choreography alive with incredible references, examples, and imagery. She is open and able to deeply connect in and out of a studio setting. We hosted a class with Swara for a group of children with special needs. Witnessing her in action with those kids was pure magic. Each of them had the biggest smile by the end of the class, and so did their parents. As a dancer, Swara is so versatile and her choreography has so much to offer. Her commitment and passion for making a difference on an individual level through the arts are unparalleled...it is clearly evident with every collaboration. We are so grateful for her presence in our Mona Khan Company family!"
